Our hormones are the chemical messengers that tell our bodies what to do and earn to do it. If your hormones aren't in a good place, chances are you are not feeling great and seeing results when it comes to weight loss can feel like an up hill battle.
We all know that female hormones fluctuate weekly due to our menstrual cycle. And then shift as perimenopause and menopause set in. But most women aren't aware that they have more control over their hormones than we are led to believe. With the right approach to your diet, exercise and lifestyle you will be surprised at how good you can feel. And what a profound impact that will have on your transformation journey.

Helen 42, decided to take action as she wanted to get in shape and feel fantastic for her wedding wearing the dress of her dreams which was going to be in 17 months time.Â
Having struggled with her weight for a while, like many women Helen had tried various diets and whilst the had worked temporarily, nothing seemed to stick and the weight always came back, usually because those diets were unsustainable in the long term. This time she wanted it be different.
I put a plan of action together for Helen that was specific to her around her diet and weekly exercise regimen. She was actually surprised at how much food she was able to eat, it didn't feel like a diet!
Helen resistance trains four times a week and focuses on hotting her daily step target. So far we haven't added in any cardio and she's remained consistent over the last 10 months.Â
Of course there have been challenges along the way with holidays and trips away, night outs and celebrations, as well as operation and 6 week recovery time. All of which I worked closely with Helen to help her navigate and get through without it having a negative impact on her journey.Â
10 months in and Helen has lost over 25KG, dropped a number of dress sizes and her confidence has sky rocketed! Had you of asked Helen back at the start of her journey if she would do a Fitness Photoshoot she probably would have laughed. Now she is wearing crop tops and completed not one but two photoshoots!

Like you, I am a busy woman in my 40's. I'm also a wife and a mum to two grown up daughters. Plus a needy dog mum!Â
It was my own fitness journey in my twenties that inspired me to leaving my 9-5 office job and become a Personal Trainer. The impact my journey had on me was so profound that I knew other women needed to know what I had discovered.
I've been a Personal Trainer specialising in Female Wellness for 18 years now, and I love helping other women take back control of their health and fitness.Â
